Dunfly was established in Co. Mayo, Ireland in January 2013 by a fly-fishing enthusiast, Bill Godfrey and his lovely wife, Jean. It has grown organically over the last number of years and has established a loyal and friendly customer base across Ireland. Dunfly has become known for it's vast range of high-quality flies at very reasonable prices as well as providing excellent customer service.

In October 2026, a very nice Dublin lady (myself!) bought it. Although it has now changed hands, Dunfly will continue on the same course. The same team of wonderful fly tyers, who have been employed since the inception of the business, will continue working with me to bring you beautiful flies at affordable prices.

In 2027, I will start attending the Angling and Country fairs throughout Ireland so please do look out for me. It would be a pleasure to meet all those who have supported and continue to support Dunfly.
